F.E. Beyer writes about dead-end jobs, travel, history and crime. He is the author of three books: Buenos Aires Triad, a tale of low-end criminals in Argentina’s capital, Smoko, a comic novel set in New Zealand, and The Crushed Can, about a dysfunctional Australian English teacher in China. His articles and reviews have appeared in the South China Morning Post, Los Angeles Review of Books, Inside Indonesia, and Travelogues Magazine.
